MAI Legal Services MAI established a Legal Services Clinic on Martin Luther King Day 2009; Hires Director of Programs and Staff Attorney MAI established MAI Legal Services division to provide Indiana residents with a Muslim attorney based upon an income based sliding fee. The clinic will provide free adjustment of status services for refugees while providing other clients at host of civil and criminal matters. This project came as a result of many requests from Muslim Hoosiers stating the need for a Muslim attorney that they can consult with. MAI has hired Fazia Deen as the Director of the Legal Services; Kat Lai as Coordinator of Programs and Peyton Bailey as Paralegal. Chris Worden serves as Managing Attorney of MAI Legal Services.
